How I Finished Ship30For30 Before it Even Started — And What it Taught Me About Fear and Focus
I’m in a rush.
The goal in Ship30For30 is to hit publish on 35 atomic essays.
In the last 2 weeks — the onboarding weeks for me — I have written and published 35 atomic essays. Each day of the challenge, you are supposed to publish one piece of written content. Ship30For30 creates the perfect environment to write and ship daily.
Tomorrow starts the online writing journey for most of the participants, and I just finished it.
What most people don’t know?
I’m in a rush.
I’m unemployed, and I need as many reps as possible in the shortest period of time. Not only that, but I want to start monetizing my writing, so I need strong writing muscles.
The lesson is simple.
Fears that I had at the beginning, didn’t come true.
Fears I have now, most likely will never happen.
Fears will come in the future …
You get the point.
What’s the fastest way to ship 35 atomic essays in 14 days?
Set the sacred hours for writing and write during that time.
Full stop.
If we measure success by hitting publish for 35 pieces, success here comes 100% down to:
Deciding if you use your own credibility (past experiences) or borrowed credibility (other’s success)
Using the Endless Idea Generator to come up with ideas relevant to you and your readers
Practicing the art of writing headlines based on the course suggestions
Making a few edits to make sure that the text sounds natural
Shipping daily
That’s it.
If you want to grow your audience, you might have to take other actions, like interacting with other posts. Since I haven’t done that, I’ll come back 2 weeks from now with an update.
Ship30For30 becomes Ship125For45 for me — here we go.
Instead of publishing 30 pieces of content in 30 days, I’m continuing to publish 3 posts a day for the next 30 days. (the official start is tomorrow)
That means, by the end, I’ll have published 125 atomic essays in total.
